Lonnie Rule opened Desert Thunder Gymnastics (DTG) in February of 2004 in beautiful Sierra Vista, AZ. Lonnie has over twenty years of experience in the gymnastics industry with the following qualifications:
- Junior Olympic level 10 judge
- USA Women’s Gymnastic JO Team Coach
- Level 2 Parkour/Free-running instructor
- Certified Meet Director
- Rated as a Director of Business, under the USA Gymnastics School of Business
Lonnie believes that education is empowerment. She insists on having a highly educated and trained staff of department leaders and instructors at DTG. Over the years, she has been able to create and maintain a team of employees who are highly qualified within their program of responsibility. Much of this training is done through national organizations, such as USA Gymnastics, USA Parkour and USASF. DTG employees are also required to take Safety, Concussion and CPR certifications. All employees over 18 have passed background checks through NCSI.
DTG wants all children to enjoy the benefits of a healthy active life. We believe that gymnastics is a wonderful way for children to be physically active in a fun and beneficial way.
